Having a disease or chronic illness makes it difficult to find peace in everyday life. You go to bed not knowing if you will sleep through the night due to pain, symptoms or just insomnia from it all. If you are lucky enough to sleep, it’s like ground hog day over and over again. Waking up to the same tune playing throughout your body as the day before, and the day before that, etc.
Learning to fake some aspects become a part of daily life because you have built up a tolerance to pain most don’t understand, nor could they comprehend if in your situation. You learn to stop fighting the nay sayers, the stigmatization from your peers, family and even doctors. That is a battle all on it’s own that requires to much time, energy and emotional stamina that we just don’t have!
Depression, anxiety, and fear come along for the ride and you find yourself becoming recluse to the world, those around you and life in general. What people do not get is that it’s not the depression or anxiety causing your issues, it’s the polar opposite actually! The illness, ostracization and judgment from other’s cause more of the emotional aspect. Although, as you find yourself getting worse and new symptoms rear their ugly head, it can start you on a parallel path to the one you are already on.
Already in a battle to keep fighting the pain and symptoms already present that you have learned to some what mask when you can; here come more. More aggressive, more intolerable and trust me, it takes it’s toll. Not only have you isolated yourself by this point, now the tables have turned once again and it’s others isolating you. They don’t understand, you must be lazy, you need to get out more, you’re depressed, or they simply just do not want to deal with it, see it, or hear about it!
Where does this leave you when you have no where to turn? More isolated enabling the depression to get worse and often times sadly, leads to suicide. You get tired of wearing the mask for the sake of others. You get tired of the judgments and you get tired of the 24/7 pain flares. You don’t know what comes next and the doctors offer no hope! It’s the same Hell day after day yet, others want you to be more positive! Does any or all of this sound familiar or can you relate?
Everything I wrote here, I write from experience and I write from my bed to which I have almost become a prisoner of. However, the verse in the heading ROMANS 12:12 says more than just the few words you read. REJOICE in Hope: there is Hope, believe me! Be PATIENT in the tribulation: ask God, talk to Him. It’s Gods timing and sometimes it feels like forever but He is already ahead of you paving the road! Have faith! God will never leave you nor forsake you! Be in CONSTANT PRAYER: prayer can move mountains. Having faith, being patient, rejoicing even when you do not feel like it gets God moving to push through for us. Talk to God, trust Him with all of it, then get out of His way so He can work. None belief, lack of patience, pride, so many things can hinder God working and that my friends only makes the process longer. Get out of the way and let God show you the glory of His work!
While you wait, find others who can relate to your circumstances. Others you can fellowship and pray with to get you focused on God and not the issue at hand. As always; if you need prayer, reach out! Leave a comment I will be more than happy to talk to you! God Bless! NovemberRain…..
Luke 1:37 For Nothing Will Be Impossible With God!
When life circumstances seem to have gotten out of hand and over your head, where do you turn? Financial loss, accidents, health issues, and other people in general can make life stressful and bring about a negative mindset. Per my previous blog post, “We Have The Power”, you can see that negativity can only make things worse. We live in a fallen world and often times you will not find a lot of compassion from those you thought would stand by you at all costs. There is but one who will stand beside you at all costs and if you don’t know Him, you’re out in the darkness trying to figure things out for yourself. He already paid all costs for you and I at Calvary when He became the perfect sacrifice and His name is Jesus Christ. He took 39 stripes, He was mocked and ridiculed after He was beaten and bruised and hung on that cross suffering in the flesh so that we may be free from it all. Free from sickness, pain, free from the darkness of this fallen world.
Jesus shed His blood so we can be under the grace of God if we so choose. We will have trials. Infact James 1:2-4 tells us My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into temptations; Knowing this, that trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, He it is that doth go before thee: He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Jesus also tells us in Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and, my burden is light.
Such a beautiful promise! All we have to do is seek Him and we do not have to fear or stress. Just as James says above, we will have temptations yes, but we do not have to carry the burdens alone. Jesus made a way for us, all we need do is Pray, Ask and Stand on His promises believing that what we ask is ours. Give it all to God! Financial burdens, give to God, He promises to take care of your needs just as any parent would for their child. Illness, give it over to God, in Isaiah 40:31 god says: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; and they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.
The promises of our Father are endless to those of us who seek Him and have faith. We have been given power over darkness through the blood of Jesus Christ. God does not want His children sick, beat down, bruised and broken! God promises life and life more abundantly. Now, some might say; “I tried God and didn’t do anything for me!” Let me ask this question to whom ever might be standing on that: Did you ask what you could for Him? Did you pray, ask, and wait, or did you ask and beg then head out into traffic only to get ran over because you were impatient? God has a time, it might not be when we want it but it’s always right on time! If your half in the world then you need to pray for God to change your heart so that you can see, and experience all the splendor and glory that is God!
As always; I offer prayer to those who may need it. Comment or email me and I will lift you in prayer. God Bless
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
What does this verse say to you when you read it? Let’s break it down. Death and Life; What are you speaking over yourself, your loved ones, your peers? Does it matter what we speak? Is the tongue just a tool to help you eat, swallow, taste, and communicate? ” They that love it shall eat of the fruit thereof.” What does this say to you? Is the fruit literally something that your tongue allows you to taste and consume for nourishment of the flesh? My goal here is an attempt to bring others to the meaning of scriptures in the spirit apart from the carnal mind!
Understanding the scriptures does not come easy for most and it does not come at all for non believers. Even believers often take what the message is out of context. This is why it is so very important to have a personal relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We must walk in the way of our Father, pray and ask for wisdom and revelation, and have love the Lord our God with all of our hearts. When one truly becomes saved we become aware of things we didn’t notice before. Our eyes are opened and we can then see that what we speak out of our mouths can bring life or death to our lives. The tongue is a physical aspect of our flesh but in the spirit, it is power!
Speaking life verses death is a very important factor in you walk with Christ. If you tell yourself you can’t then you won’t! If you have no faith or confidence and tell yourself these things, then you allow things to fail in your life at every turn. When other people say negative things about you, they are cursing you and you them if you speak negative over others. Have you ever just knew something would not work out in your favor and it turns out that it did not work out? That is because you killed any opportunity for things to work in your favor just by opening your mouth! Other times, you may be excited for something and and everything goes great in your favor; it’s because you had faith, a positive attitude and you spoke life into the situation. If you are depressed and feel nothing will ever work out for you, turn that around! Speak to that depression and speak life over it! Do it as many times as it takes until you feel better! If you are not feeling well, speak over it! In every aspect of your life, speak life and positivity into existence. We have that power through Christ Jesus!
Everyone knows someone who was a vibrant positive person then all of the sudden get into a relationship or friendship, and they all the sudden change. Their looks change, they no longer laugh and you can tell the life has been sucked out of them. It’s because it has been! You don’t have to physically kill a person in order to kill them. Killing someones spirit is often worse! You do this with words! Speaking negativity over someone long enough, they begin to believe it. A darkness seeps in and they end up trapped in a place most often times they cannot be reached. We do this to ourselves as well! Once you learn to no longer walk in the flesh but in the spirit, you will see how to speak life over yourself and those around you. The tongue is a sword with much power. Be mindful of how you use it. Think before you speak. Ask yourself, is this bringing life or death to my situation. I pray you choose LIFE! God Bless……..
More than ever I am searching this path to peace and the key to the kingdom through Yeshua and the ancient path!
More than ever I am searching this path to peace and the key to the kingdom through Yeshua and the ancient path! I must be still and I must wait on God. There are so many ways out there that other’s rely on to get them on the path to peace and Gods kingdom. The inspired scripture says there is but one way and that i s through Jesus. Although, everyone claims Jesus and the way they walk is the way to Him and His peace, there is division in the ways of worship and the way they perceive the scripture. Division is not of God. For anyone searching that has come across this sort of thing, keep searching! Keep praying and asking God to lead you the right way. Don’t give up!
I have been on this walk a very long time now seeking and I have crossed paths with many people of various beliefs and practices. I is very easy to get turned around if you are not rooted in God and His word. It’s easy to get caught up in the feel goods and even the legalistic parts in some cases. Don’t get me wrong; God and the Holy Spirit makes you feel wonderful and all of the gifts of the spirit are promised to us, but make sure it’s the Holy Spirit you are entertaining. There are many false prophets, teachers, and even false spirits running a muck today deceiving people.
As for the legalistic point of view, you should change and give up things of this world yes, but once you make the choice to walk with Jesus He changes you. We decide to give up things for our personal walk but Jesus changes your heart, He makes you not want to take part in things of the world that displease God. It’s not painful nor is it something to stress over; you give it to Jesus and ask Him to change you. We must follow the laws according to Jesus but it is by His grace we are saved, not our works. Once we die to the flesh; we walk in the spirit with Him. With that being said, yes we should make the choice to give things up but we cannot and must not try to rely on our own strength or we will fail! Our strength comes from God and only God! Our salvation comes only from Yeshua and not our works.
Most of my posts come from experience and personal opinion, but I will add this; praising God, being thankful, reading scripture, fellowship with like minded people and complete faith in Christ is the ONLY way! Find others who will help keep you grounded in Christ, uplift and support you, and never stop seeking truth! No one is ever to lost to be found! If it’s depression, pray and praise your way out! Rebuke the darkness off of you in the name of Yeshua! Anything you have going on, the power of God can handle if you walk with Him! Greater is He in you than he who is in the world! Love God with all of your mind, heart and soul! Allow Him to love you back and you will begin to see answered prayers, darkness lifted and an entire different perspective on life with be revealed to you! God bless brother’s and sister’s! I Jesus mighty name!
What does this scripture say to you? Read it again, say it out loud, meditate on it. What does it say to you? To a lot of people, it is merely words on a screen just as the bible is a book full of just words. However, to many of us, this is life! They speak to us in a way that other’s do not hear or see. “And ye shall know the truth and, the truth shall make you free.”
What would you like to be free from? Everyone has something hindering their very being. Whether it be physical, emotional, or both; we all have something! Where do you find this freedom? Is it in other people, monetary possessions, your job, guilty pleasures that only make you feel good for a moment but you go right back to searching. Honestly, all of those are prisons as well. We run back to those things time and time again but are never truly free. They do not fill us or give us the peace and freedom we seek.
Psalm 34:18 (kjv) The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Contrite: sorrow, remorse, guilt).
Galations 5:16 (kjv) This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
How do we walk in the spirit? John 3:16 For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son so that we might not perish but have everlasting life! Yeshua (Jesus) is the only way to the Father. Commit your life to Yeshua, repent of your sins, ask the Holy Father to have mercy upon you through His son and the blood shed for our salvation. Praise our Father, do nothing without bringing it to His throne through His son Jesus. Jesus is the door; you cannot come to the Father without going through Jesus. Asked to be washed in the blood of the perfect sacrificial lamb which is Jesus! Ask the Father for the Holy Spirit. There is so much more goodness to be shared on this very topic. I will be writing more about this and if anyone needs prayer or has questions in the mean time, feel free to ask.
More to come very soon! Until then brother’s and sister’s, God Bless!
